K. Can the PulsePro be mounted on a trailer?

Yes. However, given that trailers outnumber trucks by a factor of at least 3, it is by far more cost efficient to install the PulsePro on your truck. Once the PulsePro is installed on a truck, any trailer connected to it is automatically adapted so its turn signal lights flash when the brakes are applied.

C. Has the PulsePro’s pulsating light technology been proven to reduce the incidence of rear-end collisions when installed on a truck?

There is a broad consensus among researchers and government agencies that brake-activated pulsating light systems can reduce the incidence of rear-end collisions. There is also a case study involving a fleet of trucks that demonstrates unequivocally a reduction in rear-end collisions as a result of using flashing taillights. You can access the case study along with the peer-reviewed and government studies by clicking on the “Studies” tab of our site.

B. How does the PulsePro reduce the incidence of rear-end collisions?

Drivers following a trailer whose taillights flash briefly when the brakes are applied respond much more quickly by braking, especially if they have been inattentive or distracted. Pulsed turn signals when reversing a semi-trailer have also been proven to provide greater safety; this practice is recognized by many security organizations. The PulsePro now makes this an automatic safety feature.

A. What is the PulsePro?

The PulsePro is an adapter for tractor-trailers that mitigates the risk of rear-end collisions. It pulsates the turn signal lights on the trailer for one second when the brakes are applied and it also pulsates the turn signals while the tractor-trailer is reversing if the trailer is already equipped with backup lights.
